About David

David Kowalski is Finzomo’s Managing Editor. If Eleanor sets the standard, David is the one who makes the desk hit it on a Tuesday afternoon with three lists in the pipeline. He assigns categories, keeps the calendar honest, and makes sure every draft has an author and a fact-checker attached before it moves an inch.

He came to Finzomo after a decade split between newsroom operations and product review, where he spent most of his time on the unglamorous machinery that good publishing depends on: version control for facts, clear sourcing, review checklists, and the discipline of shipping on a schedule without cutting corners. He is the person who notices that a product’s website changed last week, that a pro and a con contradict each other, or that a claim has no source behind it.

At Finzomo, David owns the publishing workflow end to end. He built much of the review routine the team follows, he coordinates the analysts and the research editors, and he manages the re-review schedule that keeps older lists current. He also edits and fact-checks himself, because he thinks an editor who never touches the work loses the feel for it. He covers workflow, productivity, and collaboration software when he writes.

David studied communications and has spent his career close to the point where research becomes something a reader can act on.
