About James

James Okafor covers the software that keeps a company running and secure: IT service desks, identity and access tools, endpoint management, and the compliance systems that sit underneath them. He came to Finzomo from the other side of the console, having spent years as a systems and IT operations administrator in companies growing fast enough that the tooling never quite kept up.

He has been the person paged at 2 a.m. when access broke, the one who owned the audit when a framework came due, and the one who had to choose, deploy, and defend the tools that other teams then complained about. That history gives him a specific lens: he reads a product for how it behaves under real administrative load, how cleanly it handles permissions and roles, and how much hidden work a “simple” rollout actually creates. He is careful and precise, because in his old world a loose claim could become an incident.

When James evaluates a category, he sets each tool up as an administrator would, wires in realistic policies, and looks hard at the parts that decide whether a deployment sticks: access control, logging, integrations, and day-two operations. He holds a degree in computer science and industry certifications in IT service management and security. He does not overstate what a tool can do, and he flags the trade-offs plainly.
